Data Control
Your rights — and why there's nothing to control.
Last updated: January 2025
The bottom line: Swift Image Resizer doesn't hold any personal data about you. There is no account, no profile, no history, no image library on our side. You already have full control because there was never a copy to control.
What we know about you
Nothing.
- No name or email address — we never asked for one.
- No IP address logged — we don't have a server that logs requests.
- No cookies or local storage — nothing written to your browser.
- No images stored — files stay in your device's memory only.
- No usage history — we don't track which pages you visited.
Where your image goes
When you drop an image onto the tool, here is the complete lifecycle:
- Browser reads the file from your local disk into RAM.
- Canvas API resizes, crops, and encodes the pixels in memory.
- Blob URL points to that memory when you click Download.
- Browser writes a new file directly to your Downloads folder.
- When you close the tab, everything above is erased by the operating system.
At no point in this chain does your image cross the network, or touch a computer you don't own.
Your rights under GDPR (EU / UK)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
- Access — know what personal data is held about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — limit how your data is processed.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object — stop specific processing of your data.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
How these apply here: because we hold no personal data, each of these rights is automatically satisfied. There is nothing to access, correct, erase, restrict, port, or object to. We cannot honour a data request because there is no data.
Your rights under CCPA (California)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected, used, or shared.
- Delete personal information held about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
How these apply here: we do not collect, sell, or share any personal information. Each right is satisfied by default.
How to verify it yourself
You don't have to take our word for it. Here's how to prove the tool never contacts the network:
- Open the Swift Image Resizer homepage in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- Press
F12(or right-click → Inspect) to open DevTools. - Click the Network tab.
- Click the clear button (the ⊘ icon) to empty the list.
- Drop an image, adjust settings, click Download.
- Watch the Network tab. Zero new requests appear.
Every byte of work happened inside your browser. That's the proof.
The CDN exception
The only network activity after page load happens if you select AVIF, TIFF, GIF, or JPEG XL as the output format. In that case, a small encoder library is downloaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net the first time. This sends only standard HTTP data (IP + user-agent) to the CDN — no image bytes, no personal info. If you use JPEG, PNG, WebP, or BMP, this never happens.
Data retention
Zero days. We retain no data because we receive no data. Every byte processed by the tool exists only on your own device, for the duration of your visit.
Third-party data processors
We work with no data processors, no cloud providers, no analytics services, no advertising networks, and no email marketing platforms. The site is a static HTML file plus a stylesheet and a script — nothing more.
